How Does HillyPix Obtain Streaming Rights?
HillyPix produces and acquires the rights to stream movies, TV shows, music, and other content from the Northeast region of India. We work closely with independent filmmakers, content creators, studios, and production houses to bring regional stories to audiences through the HillyPix platform. Some titles on HillyPix are produced exclusively by us, while others are made available through licensing partnerships. HillyPix is a subscription-based, video-on-demand streaming service delivered directly over the internet. Our service does not require cable, satellite television, or any traditional broadcast platform. If a particular title is not available on HillyPix, it may be due to licensing limitations, regional restrictions, or the expiration of a distribution agreement.
Licensing Policy of HillyPix
To offer a diverse and evolving content library, HillyPix regularly negotiates and renews licensing agreements with content owners. These agreements are governed by legally binding contracts that define how and for how long content may be streamed on our platform. Some licenses may allow content to remain available indefinitely, while others are granted for a fixed period—such as one, two, or five years. Once a license period ends, the agreement may be renewed. If it is not renewed, the content will be removed from HillyPix. To ensure transparency, HillyPix updates its content catalogue regularly, reflecting additions and removals based on licensing terms.
How Licensing Agreements May Be Structured
Licensing arrangements between HillyPix and content owners may vary and can be based on one or more of
- Duration of the licensing agreement
- Geographic regions where the content may be streamed
- Number of permitted views or audience reach
- Revenue-sharing models (if applicable)
